Parking: Standard Parking is charged at £6.00 and is a 15-20 minutes walk from the entrance. Express Parking is charged at £18.00 and is a few minutes away from the park. Disabled Parking is charged at £6.0.
Getting There:

• Car: 
  Based on the direction you’re travelling from the nearest motorway exits are M1 Northbound – Junction 23a, M1 Southbound – Junction 28, M6 Northbound – Junction 15, and M6 Southbound – Junction 16.
• Train:
  The nearest train station to Alton Towers is Uttoxeter located just 10 miles from the resort. You can take a taxi or bus to the theme park from the station.
  Stoke on Trent station is approximately 15 miles away from Alton Towers and you can board a local taxi and reach the theme park in just 25 minutes.
• Bus: 
  First Bus Potteries, a local bus company, operates routes from Stoke-on-Trent city centre (Hanley), Stoke-on-Trent Rail Station, and Uttoxeter to Alton Tower. You can also board the X52 service that connects to the theme park from Nottingham and Derby.

• Take advantage of Alton Towers' free Wi-Fi via the Cloud. Register your device when entering the theme park, after which your device will connect to the Wi-Fi network automatically.
• You can withdraw money from any of the cash points located around the theme park. Note that there is a charge for £1.95 on cash withdrawals at the park.
• Alton Towers is equipped with toilets, both general and accessible, at multiple points in the theme park. 
• The park provides benches at different locations for you to relax and take a break. There are also numerous cafes and restaurants you can stop at for a quick bit of an elaborate meal.
• Lockers are available at the Dark Forest, Towers St., Forbidden Valley, and X-Sector.
• Smoking in public places inside Alton Towers is strictly prohibited. There are designated areas where guests can smoke. 

• Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available for rent at Alton Towers. However, you’ll only be able to pay for these rentals via card deposits.
• If you cannot stand in a queue for medical reasons, you can apply for the Ride Access Pass through which, you can bypass queues for all rides and attractions. You’ll need a letter from your GP stating that you cannot stand in a place for too long.
• For guests with a Blue Badge to identify mobility issues, there are several first-come, first-served parking spaces set aside. 
• While guide dogs are allowed inside Alton Towers, you cannot take them along during rides and attractions.
• All the toilets in Alton Towers are equipped to be wheelchair friendly.
• There are a limited number of ear defenders available at the Resort Box Office for rent with a £20 refundable deposit.

• Wheelchairs are the only transport device allowed inside Alton Towers for safety reasons. Other devices like rollerblades, bicycles, and hoverboards are not allowed inside the theme park.
• Kids under the age of 12 are allowed inside Alton Towers only if they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 or more. Once inside the theme park, children should be under adult supervision at all times.
• Avoid unnecessary noise and other behaviour that could be annoying for visitors.
• Smoking in public places inside Alton Towers is strictly prohibited and there are designated areas where guests can smoke. 
• Guests are expected to wear appropriate clothing when inside the theme park.

• Get the park map as soon as you enter the theme park as it gives handy information and helps you save a lot of time.
• Each ride inside Alton Towers has a height description and this information is listed on the park map. Take a close look at the map to identify which rides your kids can go for and plan your time accordingly.
